You now have to click emoticons to load them. This will the experience for users with slower computer and connection better also server bandwidth might decrese a bit.

Some of the emoticons give the error message "The selected file is too large. Please select a file that is smaller than 150 KB" when adding them in Live Messenger. This seems be due to the fact Live Messenger interprets 150KB = 150000 bytes when in fact it should be 150KB = 153600 bytes. These emoticons will be shrunk ASAP.
